The Dalai Lama

To begin with, I understand MORE than the Dalai Lama, A LOT MORE!

It seems that the Dalai Lama is trying to reinvent the wheel, with his whole idea about Happiness. The way to Happiness is the follow the Noble Eightfold Path, full stop! The Buddha said that the Dharma would last 500 years after he died, so the dharma died 2000 years ago. What the Buddhist "teachers" of today teach is not the dharma. The Dharma will be restored by the Maitreya and not before. The dharma can be summed up in the Buddha's most basic teachings - the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path. The Noble Eightfold Path is the way to Happiness, just as the Buddha said. The first of the Noble Eightfold Path is Right Understanding. Without Right Understanding we can never be Happy, so our first prerequisite is Right Understanding. Only when you are a Buddha yourself do you have Right Understanding, so Buddhahood should be your goal - Enlightenment, our only goal.
