The Dalai Lama

To begin with, I understand MORE than the Dalai Lama, A LOT MORE!

It seems that the Dalai Lama is trying to reinvent the wheel, with his whole idea about Happiness. The way to Happiness is the follow the Noble Eightfold Path, full stop! The Buddha said that the Dharma would last 500 years after he died, so the dharma died 2000 years ago. What the Buddhist "teachers" of today teach is not the dharma. The Dharma will be restored by the Maitreya and not before. The dharma can be summed up in the Buddha's most basic teachings - the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path. The Noble Eightfold Path is the way to Happiness, just as the Buddha said. The first of the Noble Eightfold Path is Right Understanding. Without Right Understanding we can never be Happy, so our first prerequisite is Right Understanding. Only when you are a Buddha yourself do you have Right Understanding, so Buddhahood should be your goal - Enlightenment, our only goal.

Good practices/teachings

It would seem that most people when they start spiritual practice don't really get the basics right, so I will tell you what you should start with.

Firstly meditation is essential, and you should definitely try to use incense. Smudge sticks (burning white sage) can be good too, to purify an area or an aura.

Another thing is rest and relaxation is also essential. All these things I tell you are essential. You need to get enough rest and relaxation if your practice is going to be successful.

Play is also important. Play is good for the Soul and you should play whenever possible. I recommend video games for one thing.

The next thing is, get as much sunshine as possible. The sun should be much sort after.

Sleep as much as possible out of doors.

Refrain from idle and wasteful speech. Many people speak so much rubbish and they waste their speech and don't really know the value of speech. You need to learn Right Speech.

Find a TRUE Master. I am such a Master. You are in training to become a Master yourself so you shouldn't be overly dependant on Him. You need to stand alone.

Another one of the Buddhas' noble eightfold path that need a lot of attention in today's society is Right Livelihood. Doctors, nurses and police are not right livelihood for example. You really need to be serving peoples NEEDS and those professions that I mentioned are NOT necessary.

Another teaching of the Buddha is do not listen to or follow false doctrine. False doctrine hurts you and the practitioner of the doctrine.

Follow a healthy, preferably vegetarian diet. Vegetarian diet may not always be possible but you should follow it where possible. My complete health and fitness website tells you what you should be eating.

Beauty isn't only skin deep. A beautiful body is a requirement. There is nothing wrong with being attractive and you should aim for it. Appearance can tell you alot about a person, though you should learn to look past appearances. Sometimes it obvious though. It is certainly much more enjoyable to be in a beautiful body for one thing and it has other benefits.

Much water internally and externally is vitally required.

Get True Knowledge.

Read the right books regularly until you have it - spiritual reading.

Make sure you are of service to the world and harmless - practice Love.

Solitude is good for the Soul. You should seek out time alone. As much as possible. Don't be obsessive though.

Keep the company of the good. We need to choose our company carefully.

Once all these things are done there will be a dramatic shift in your life and these things MUST be done of you are to be successful. Some of you may be worried about emphasising YOU but don't let that be a worry for you. You do need to try to be selfless and that should be a Goal. All this should help you greatly. Remember in all things, good, better, best, is the way to go. Don't wait though, you need to do what you can from the start. Don't put off Success.
